Final Session Classroom Work

Outcome:
  • You research and deliver your insight on a high impact trend in hospitality
  • This is individual work - not group work
Assignment:
  • Go to The Next Big Thing
  • Select an article that YOU think is important in the industry and you find interesting
  • Research 2 supporting articles or posts or materials to help you articulate your insights - you will need to text link the resources that you found
  • Questions to help you think:
    • Why did you select that specific topic
    • Why is it important that your colleagues know about the particular trend/topic
    • What is YOUR prediction on how the particular topic/trend will affect the industry
Publishing your Insights
  • Create a Google Slide presentation - to share with me - select 'can edit'
    • The presentation should be professional - one that you could publish on Linked In
      • Original Thinking - No copy-paste
      • Support with images/video - but those do not replace your insights
      • It is a briefing - for busy executives, make it easy for them to understand the concept and your thinking
      • Text links in the Slides - to the article + your resources
        • This is called attribution

  • Do a Blog Post  - summarize your insights in a few bullet points
    • This is called an executive summary
  • In the post text link to the article you selected + your 2 resources
  • In the post, text link to the Google Slide presentation
  • Please submit the blog post link here.
